This is a nice conditioned Olive Drab green wool garrison cap with a blackened brass eagle, globe, and anchor device. Made of heavy wool, the cap is in very good condition with a couple of moth nips, but it displays very well. This cap is unlined and has a black fabric sweatband with the remains of the owners name written in white. Due to the amount of wear and handling, I cannot make out the name. There are the typical sweat and handling stains, but these only enhance the look of this cap.
If you are a fan of items with the "Been there!" look, this cap would be right up your alley. A nice example of WWII Marine Corps headgear.
