Made by the world famous company WMF this interesting piece of military tableware measures approximately 9 3/4" long and weighs 2.3 oz. The blade is a magnetic stainless marked with the WMF logo and the word NIROSTA. Above this marking is a pyramid with a cross, or plus sign, in its center. On 17 October 1912, Krupp engineers Benno Strauss and Eduard Maurer patented austenitic stainless steel as Nirosta.
The handle of this piece is non-magnetic and marked with a very detailed droop-tailed Luftwaffe Adler clutching a Swastika. On the bolster close to the blade is stamped CROMARGAN (a trademark of WMF) within a rounded corner triangle and the WMF logo.
Overall the piece is in good used condition with some scuffs and scrapes as it was definitely well used! This knife is very light in hand and I must admit it is hard to resist using it on some nice Brats while listening to some marching music!
