This is a fine World War I/WWII Imperial German 3 piece ribbon bar that is in excellent condition. The bar consists of three ribbons, one for the 1914-1918 "Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges Mit Schwerten " commonally known as The"Hindenburg Honor Cross with crossed swords for combatant device, The 1939-45 Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter im öffentlichen Dienst "25 year Civilian Long Service Medal" with device, and the most unusual version of the ribbon for the 1939-1941 "Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen" West Wall Medal" I have seen! This ribbon bears the device of the Red Cross! Perhaps for a Doctor or Medic? I have never seen this device on a ribbon bar before! The reverse of the bar is chrome plated steel and is complete with fully intact and functional pin and clasp. The bar measures approximately 4.45 cm in length with all ribbons and shows some wear and slight soiling, But the cherry on top is the mini Red Cross device! I wish I still had kept that nice medical tunic I sold a while back!
