Very nice 1914 pattern three piece, die struck Iron Cross Second Class. Single piece Iron core is embossed with the W cipher for King Wilhelm II and the date 1914 with Imperial crown at the top. The two piece silver alloy frame is in excellent condition and very crisp and well detailed. The reverse is decorated with a cluster of oak leaves and the initials FW for the Konig Friederich Wilhelm III with Crown and the date of institution "1813". The original suspension loop and ring are intact and correctly marked. The piece still retains its original black and white ribbed ribbon.
A very nice conditioned, uncleaned example.
