This beautifully detailed tinnie commemorates Feuerwehrtag or Fire Brigade Day in Stetten-Ulm in Württemberg Germany on the 19th of September 1937. An unusually large tinnie, this piece measures 1 3/4" in diameter and is made of copper plated steel with a bronze colored wash. The obverse depicts a noble looking fireman with chiseled features wearing his combed helmet complete with leather neck guard. The detail is fantastic and very crisp down to the helmets, chinstraps, and the swastika on the helmet decal.
The reverse is a dark bronze color and nicely patinated with the original pin clasp intact and fully functional, as well as, being very sharp. A little more unusual than the ones usually encountered, this tinny is large enough to fit well with a display of Feuerwehr medals and patches. A striking piece that won't break the bank!
