This nice Army dagger features the 1936 to 1941 stamped logo of the prestigious Carl Eickhorn firm. It came to me without the scabbard which makes it a bit of an orphan, but I am sure there is someone out there who would be willing to give it a good home. The blade is in good condition considering the fact that it was found while someone was cleaning out an old house. There is some freckling and some darkening, but the blade would clean up quite nicely with a little tender loving care. The grip was originally yellow, but has turned a pretty shade of orange being a little darker on the front. There are a few small pecks and scuffs, but no chips or cracks.
The cross guard eagle is very well defined and the factory darkening is still in excellent condition; there is hand enhancing on the oak leaves of the grip ferrule and the pommel. A nice quality dagger; and, because there is no scabbard with this one it is priced quite reasonably.
