This 1937 style version of the DRL Sports badge is unmarked on the reverse which is less commonly seen. Die struck and finished with a metallic wash, much of the finish has dissipated over time likely due to the quality of the base metal. Traces remain in the recesses and edges that have escaped handling. The detail is still very nice. I must say that I cannot make the call if it was a gold, bronze or silver wash so, I will price it as a bronze example and it will be to the new owner to decide. If it is indeed a gold wash it will be an even better deal. The rear pin and hinge assembly, including the catch, are in excellent working condition.
A nice solid example and a reasonable price to boot!
